When in a Pandemic, Wear a Mask

Hello guys, hello, November!

“I understand you (a problem/person) and accept you. Today, I let you go.”

Starting with a new mantra that had helped me on so many occasions where I nearly lost myself in difficult (and awkward) situations when dealing with people and problems. It helps me shake everything off, release me from the problem, and restore the balance.

This month is dedicated to Social wellness awareness. It is as important as physical wellness because even if we think we are going in the right direction in taking care of our bodies and our overall health, then come to the situations where we have to deal with people, and that contributes to our wellness, too, let the outcome be a benefit or a drawback.

In this time of madness we live in (thank you Covid-19), it is perfectly normal that our once super special gift of socialization is now at the point where it has changed us, even given us a 360-degree turn, and we cannot recognize ourselves anymore. Believe me. It happened to me. But this is also a time where we can see ourselves in retrospect, and perhaps it can be the time to really sort things out.

In this matter, social wellness might change a little in the definition. However, it still concludes that we all need to be aware of the healthy relationships we hold, nurturing, supportive, and trustworthy connections with other human beings. Now, I encourage you always to stay safe and to be wary of the consequences that the virus can bring to yourself and those around you; but, I understand that sometimes it is just too much to bear alone and that we as humans need to keep making connections with other people.

From this point on, my interest is that each one of you dreamers is okay, and also to let you know that even if you have a day where you feel like you don’t belong or that you are not making a change or a contribution to the world, well… you are! I have had days like this throughout the quarantine, and even if it was through a screen, I facetime my best friend or my boyfriend. They are always there for me and cheer me up in the worst times.

Our time will come when we get to hug and kiss each other again. We are strong people, we care for each other, and we will hold tight together as brothers and sisters of the Earth because of this. Socializing will be once more reborn, and our dreams will become a reality again. Staying together, standing together, living together, as the global community we are, is the biggest appreciation of social wellness there is.

Dreamers, in Dream on Youth, we support you and love you. Stay safe, and wear a mask :P Until next week.
