The Student and The Teacher
Hello, dreamers!
It is the last post of March 2021, and I happily announce that this writing is for you, the students and teachers, who have bravely stood up against this enormous task of teaching and learning through a screen.
When the pandemic became a global issue, of course, all governments worldwide had to take extreme measures, and alongside that came the home office for everyone, employees, children, high schoolers, and college students. Perhaps in some countries —not mine, people have started to work or study again in the rightful places, but this does not take away all the effort and trouble they went through.
Even though it’s now a relief for them, the consequences of being locked up in their houses, studying without a guide/teacher, and still having to hit the mark every time, that’s what I want to speak to you about today. I have talked to my friends, my brother, and cousins, who find it hard to understand topics explained through a screen, without human contact or a sense of comprehension of anything at all.
To the fantastic teachers who endured the pandemic and still found many ways to help all their students learn! Because even if I didn’t ask directly to my teachers, I could still see in their faces how much they had to go through to teach us the class. It might not be the same in developed countries. Still, in some others, the internet issues or lack of electronic devices, such as laptops or even smartphones, become a problem when teaching changes unexpectedly.
I want to give a round of applause to all these amazing and courageous people that found it hard to keep going, but they still did it anyway, and up until today, they keep fighting for all that has to be. A world without students and teachers is a world without new knowledge. We all have been students and teachers at some point in our lives, so everyone will hopefully be empathetic towards this humble and much-needed profession.
Dreamers, always remember that in Dream on Youth, we love you and support you! Lots of love, and until next post <3
