Welcome positivity, welcome opportunities

Hey guys! What’s up?

Today, I want to introduce my new mantra to you. I came up with it when I was in the shower, can you believe it? You can probably sense good ideas come to us when we are relaxed and comfortable in our space.

I welcome positivity. I welcome opportunities.

It is as simple as it is. But let me tell you, these are powerful words; in fact, they are affirmations to yourself and the universe. We can experiment with different situations where we feel uneasy or odd, and this mantra might help you with it. It works for me, as I believe what I say, and most importantly, I mean it.

For us, this is a new year, an awakening year. It’s a year of change. Since the beginning, we try our best to improve every aspect of our life, but that needs some effort on our part, and perhaps I can provide you with some actions that I personally practice every day.

  1. Mindfulness. It makes me aware of issues that no longer teach me life lessons, and I can acknowledge them and let each of those go. It relives the weight on your shoulders that you do not have to carry anymore.

  2. Journaling. It improves your concentration, creative writing, and imagination. It can also help you remember positive situations that you have lived and probably need to look back on. *You can also keep track of your dreams, and it can help you understand what is going on in your life so that you can move forward.

  3. Talent discovering. Perhaps you are wondering what you are good at, and maybe this can help you out. You can try as many activities as you want, but give each of them their own time and patience! At some, you’ll be nailing it since the beginning, but at others, you might need time to get the hang of it. This can also help you to de-stress and to concentrate better.

  4. Outdoor reading. While soaking in vitamin D, reading makes your imagination grow. If you enjoy it as much as I do, it can make your body release happy hormones, such as dopamine, serotonin, or endorphins. So, it’s like free two birds with one key. *animal-friendly version of the other idiom*

  5. Baking/cooking. It can make you feel lovely, to make delicious dishes for your loved ones. It doesn’t have to be extravagant or anything; just let yourself go in the kitchen and do whatever your heart desires. It certainly has helped me to relieve stress and tension. For me, it’s backing, especially pineapple pie (with my aunt’s recipe).

Guys! Hopefully, these activities will help you out a little to welcome positivity and opportunities in your life, and this year full of change. In my experience, these have provided me comfort, knowing that practicing these will make me happy and balanced.

And remember, in Dream on Youth, we love you and support you! Until next time.
