Fall Forever

You know that feeling when you walk outside and it’s sunny, there's a crisp breeze, and you have a warm scarf on? That's my favorite part of the year: fall. Fall is full of fun, amazing things to do with your family and friends. For me, fall means I get to wear scarves and my beloved combat boots. For others, it is all about Halloweentown on TV and picking pumpkins. I do love all of that but my fall wardrobe is my favorite by far.
There are different aspects of a fall wardrobe that I love so much. Being able to layer is one of them. Summer weather and I do not get along because it is too hot outside. Fall means I get to layer as much as I want to and still look cute. A couple of tips for effective layering can be a summer dress with a long cardigan, tights, and a scarf. You can also wear fun muscle tee shirts with a chambray shirt and black jeans. Just because it is getting colder doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your summer clothes.
Another aspect of a fall wardrobe that I can’t get enough of is the shoes. During the summer you can only wear sandals and converse if it is cool enough. In the fall you can wear ballet flats to knee-high boots depending on the weather. Where I live rain boots are a staple to have. I love Hunter wellies but they can be a bit pricey. I would look at Marshall’s for cheap, designer boots like my Juicy Couture ones I got for $30. I love a good bargain! Another type of boot that is coming to life is the combat boot and thigh-high boot. Combat boots got popular last winter but now every store is carrying them. You can rock thigh-high boots with a long sweater or cardigan (with shorts underneath).
Fall means over-sized sweaters and darker colors which I love. My wardrobe consists of grey and black. Now I get to add in army green and burgundy. I could live somewhere that has fallen all the time like London. There is something about it that makes me love this time of the year even more. It might be the weather or the fact that the holidays are during this time.
Whatever style you have, rock it. Go to your favorite stores, boutiques, or online shops and let go. Buy something for yourself, you deserve it. This is the time of the year that can also be stressful with school so take the edge off and make yourself happy. I know shopping does that for me :)

Just Believe,
Courtney
